Image to come(Missing info)By Celia de Villiers and Kris van ’t Hof, commemorating Desmond Tutu. There are no concealed knots or hidden stitches; a self-searching embroidered banner rather than a traditional quilt, it openly exposes the history of its own making — a metaphor for accountability, forgiveness, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Every knot is doubled as a token of the bond between Desmond and Leah Tutu.
Part of Ubuntutu — A Commitment to Peace, Love and Social Justice: Quilt Tributes to Desmond and Leah Tutu (2016), curated by Prof. Marsha MacDowell and Aleia Brown, USA.
